For Equestrians

My other love is horses. My family has been a horse family sine 1986. I grew up riding Hunter-Jumper plus some dressage. I started instructing in my late teens and then ran my own lesson program. I got certified to teach English and Western with CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association). Unfortunately I had to close my lesson program in 2008 after a decline in the local economy resulted in fewer and fewer riding students in the program.

My husband and I have 5 rescued Off The Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) (Ex racehorses)plus my family's 6 various other horses as well. My passion is now adopting OTTBs from the race tracks and preventing them from going to slaughter; re-training them to be "normal" horses, and watching them thrive in their new found lives off the track.

My blog "All The Pretty Little Horses" details the barn, horses, riding, showing, trail riding, horse training, clinic attending side of my life. Enjoy!
