Good Grief.

So I popped over to the Pioneer Woman website. (I just LOVE her. I love her photos, I love her recipes, I love her humor, I love everything about her ....website. :)

Anyhoo, I saw where she is giving away three Canon Powershot Digital ELPH point and shoot style cameras.

You know how these blog giveaways work; you leave a comment and get entered in the drawing.

So I though, why the heck not? So I scrolled on down to leave my pitiful little insignificant comment and.........

....There were 17,656 comments left on there. And counting. The giveaway just started today; and ends tomorrow.... there could be twice that amount by midnight tonight.

Seventeen.Thousand. Six hundred. And fifty-six.... people read that blog today and entered her giveaway.

*deer in the headlights face*

And I blog why?

I'm sure she didn't have that many readers when she started out. Besides you have 59 followers. That's a lot! And you might have more readers that didn't subscribe...

Oh, I'm not going to quit; but boy was that a shocker! Course I don't give away CAMERAS - THREE of them - either. :P

It blows my mind too! Do you know she makes about $800,000.00 a year in advertising! Can you even imagine?

But I read your blog as often as I read hers and I feel like I "know" you and if I needed a friend...well I'd write you, not Ree Drummond. That is worth something.

Now excuse me, I have to go enter the contest...

Smiles,
Lisa

:) I know the feeling......I sorta transfered over to facebook for that reason. It's more "instant gratificaiton" because you can give less and get more. I.e., give less (status updates) and get more (comments). That little red number at the top of the screen is every bit as exciting as comments on your blog, and far easier to get!

Well, I don't want 20,000 comments - how could I read them all? I prefer to keep things smaller, and more personal, anyway. I was just completely blown away by those numbers. And Lisa I had NO IDEA she made THAT much money! That probably doesn't even encompass what she made on her book, and what she made selling the movie rights to her life story. Holy Cow!!! Marlboro Man could retire and give up ranching and live the good life! :P Well, more power to her.
